Open Enrollment

Open enrollment is designed to give all interested parents equal opportunity for their child to attend the academy. During open enrollment, all applications get equal consideration regardless of date submitted. An application received at the end of open enrollment will receive equal treatment to one received on the first day of open enrollment.
New charter academies' open enrollment usually lasts four weeks. These open enrollment periods typically occur in the spring and are announced to the general public through newspaper ads, mailings or other forms of advertising.
Existing charter academies' open enrollment begins on the first day of school and closes on the last business day of February at 5:00 p.m.

Following the close of open enrollment, if the number of applications exceeds the number of open seats, a random selection drawing, known as a lottery, will determine admissions. If the number of applications does not exceed the number of open seats, all applicants will receive an acceptance letter for their respective academies and grades.
